Difference between ysd1 and z240?

D1 more powerful at smaller beam angle, at similar beam angles very similar power. Z240 has longer reliability history, D1 has had a few issues with firmware requiring recalls. D1 has one-way (not completely rotating) power switch and a manual that is not completely incomprehensible. D1 has sealed battery compartment, Z240 not so much. I have both, love them both, use them interchangeably and often together. Both are great strobes, right now I think the Z240 is a bit cheaper from say Divervision. Can't go wrong with either.

I think the d1 comes with ys or ball adapter. Z240 u need to buy it. But strobe strength wise.. Same same
