Hi, I recently purchased a Canon G16, fantasea FG16 housing and sea and sea YS-02 flash. Im testing the rig out before I leave next week and for some reason the flash doesnt seem to sync with the camera.
If I use only the on board flash everything works great, but if I put on the flash cover and fiber optic cable attached to the YS-02 the internal and external flash seem to go off at the same time (to my eye) but the picture comes out almost completely dark.
Ive been messing with the flash settings in every mode and Im at a loss of what else it could be.
I don't know the YS-02 strobe, but you could check some settings on both, camera and strobe:
I guess that the strobe sincronize on the preflash for the "no red-eye" function

Okay. U saying the flash fires... The strobe fires but the picture is totally dark? Is that is what u taking about. Then either put the strobe to full or check your setting on your camera
Turns out I had the strobe set to manual flash instead of pre-flash.

Thanks for giving me a chance to post this picture
I search and saw this article.. It's for the show series... But it does mention about TTL not available in manual setting for Canon camera
