DS-125 Strobe Not Working At Depth

I have a newish DS-125 NiMH battery that 100% of the time works on the surface, but 90% of the time doesn't work at depth. I can't nail down the depth involved but it's more than the 4' of my pool. It has done this since I got it. The original batteries that I have still work 100% of the time on both strobes, except for this one. I don't know if it's a connection problem or what. Any suggestions?

I had this problem with an intermittent ikelite sync cord which did exactly what your describing. Works on surface but sometimes at depth.

I would also guess your problem is the sync cord not the strobe. Should be easy to test if you have or can borrow another cord.

Had this problem several times. Always the sync cord. Slapped on a back up and problem solved.
