Inon Z240 problem

5 posts
  1. Hy folks

I need help with recently bought Aquatica housing. I am using 5D MK III with pair of Inon Z240 Type 4 strobes. I am using the strobes only in manual mode and the circuit inside the housing is set to manual (pins are down). When I turn the camera and flashes on, the flashes are firing constantly! I cant make them to stop!

I tried everything but nothing seems to be working... Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem?

    Thank you

  2. Is the hot shoe engaged properly? It sounds like you have a short somewhere.

  3. It is. Housing is brand new, so as its hot shoe... It seems to me also it is a short:(

  4. Found the problem. The flat cable that connects circuit board to the hotshoe was damaged. They fixed the cable with some clamp and bolt inside the housing but it was too tight so that clamp damaged the cable. Now it is fixed and the cable is bit short cause I had to cut it...

  5. Oh well done, you! Good luck with it.
