3 From Frederiksted Pier

  1. We did 5 dives at Frederiksted Pier during our recent St. Croix trip. So, all 3 were on the pilings at around 5m.

stx1 - While photographing this baby gray angelfish I also caught this Goby, but I can't find the species. Both were hanging out inside a sponge. Goby was only 1-2cm.

stx2 - my best guess is Warty Sidegill Slug (Pleurobranchus areolatus) but I'm far from certain. Larger, 5-7cm.

stx3 - absolutely no clue. very small. looks nudi-ish, but I can't see any rhinophores. maybe a juvenile? 1-2cm.

    Thanks for any input

  2. Last one looks like a cowry to me.

  3. Got some feedback from a Flickr power user on #3. Trivia Shell , the closest match being (Pusula pediculus) (http://www.jaxshells.org/pp20.htm). Reading on Wiki, it says that Trivia shells are also known as Cowries in the UK. So much to learn! Thanks!
