Have noticed post-dive that there is a tiny amount of water inside of my ike d300 housing around the "pushbuttons" on the backplate. It isn't much, I wouldn't speak about a "leak", just tiny drops and moisture under the little metal washers. Not enough to for running drops and definetly does not get to camera.
Does anyone else experience this? Is it by design/normal, or something I should worry about?
There may be water under the button around the spring, but there better not be any water on the end of the button inside of the housing.............
OK, Thanks! The water is definetly just around the spring. Very miniscule doplets. I can breathe out and go back to shooting....
Marjo & Ike, don't mean to butt in....but I'm not sure ya'll are saying the same thing
Sounds like Marjo is talking about drops inside the housing around the buttons and Ike's talking about drops outside?
yes, the moisture is on the inside of the housing, but it is just "under" the button. There is a small metal "washer" between the button and the housing. The moisture is under/around the "washer". My theory was that a bit (very very little)of water inevitably will come thru when pushing the buttons on the back.
You are probably right, but I'd be concerned with "any" water showing up on the inside :?:

There should be no water coming in around the buttons or any other place. You might be seeing condensation on the metal buttons, or, if you're seeing it through the housing wall, it might actually still be outside the orings. Looking through that thick polycarbonate can be deceiving.
No, I'm not seeing thru the glass. It's there. I have pics but I can't figure out how to post them here without fist putting them on a website.
Button is large diameter head with a spring and washer under it, then it becomes a small diameter shaft penetrating the housing. Seal is on the small diameter shaft. Water does penetrate under the head to the spring and washer where it must stop............
