They don't hold a candle to any of the more newer Mirrorless or DSLR based systems. I was down this route before I got my GH4. Poor bitrates and resolution. The only thing that they do, do is better AF - they have phase detection and not contrast.
If you want a camcorder look at the 4K Sony offerings.

I'm afraid the only one I could afford is the AX100, and it seems to be really poor manual WB capabilities.
