Canon 8-15mm Fisheye +teleconverter on Full Frame

1 posts
  1. Does anyone have any experience using the Canon 8-15mm fisheye lens with a 1.4 or 1.7x teleconverter on a full frame camera (Canon or Sony?) I'm thinking of trying to adapt this combination on the Sony A7RII as a sort of Tokina 10-17 alternative for full-frame.

Basically, I'm looking for a field of view somewhere in between a 180 degree fisheye and the widest you can get with a rectilinear wideangle for things like wide-angle macro photos and video work.

Any thoughts? It seems like such a combination would be very versetile, especially for video with the Sony A7RII since that can also be used in 35mm(APS-C) crop mode.

What teleconverter would work and what ports/extensions would I need to use it with the Nauticam A7II housing?
