Did anyone read the review on the Fuji Finepix F700 at divemagazine.co.uk? (A few months old now)
Particularly the last paragraph:
In the studio, we played around using the RAW and the 6M settings. There was a slight increase in quality between the 3M and 6M but no appreciable change between the 6M and RAW. Unless you particularly need more pixels that take up valuable space on the memory card, I would recommend the 3M setting.
LOL! It would appear the reviewer doesn't even know what the RAW format is - which is a bit of a worry, considering he's reviewing a digital camera!
Maybe the reviewer was comparing 6MP JPG to 3MP RAW? Fuji created a lot of confusion with this 4th generation CCD. According to most reports you are better off with a 4MP camera.
I just posted the Fuji press release about this setup.
I'd personally like to give it a try as I'd like to see what the extra SR sensors are good for.
Looks like a nice camera. If the front element doesn't move and allow add on lenses. This may make a good alternative to the 5050 when that's no longer availble.
They are very ambitious in having ISO settings up to 1600. I'll add it to my "Herb's analysis of the Dave's box shot" when I have time.
