  1. Hi,
found an advertising at the 12th this month,
    but the describtion is strange:

Maybe they have simply copied the describtion from a differnt housing, because these Sony models have no integrated flash, and i can not find the connectors for fibe cables....

  2. Ikelite is using Ikelite TTL flash conversion with Ikelite strobes which use wired cables not fiber optic cables.

  3. Hi Phil,
    yes i have read this....
But was happy before, if it would have been possible...

Just as idea, would it be possible to use the Nauticam hot shoe led trigger, maybe looking backside to the acrylic door and switch the strobes via fiber cable?
Have sold my Ikelite strobes and use Inon or S&S via fiber cable.....

    Regards,
    Wolfgang

  4. Inon Z-240 strobes can be hard wired and fire in manual using the Ikelite bulkhead cord to Inon, same for some S&S and Nikonos strobes. I don't think the Nauticam trigger would fit and it only works in manual, so TTL will only be gained with the Ikelite system.

  5. Hi Phil,
    manual mode is fine ;-))
I have 3x D2000 and only one Z240, and they dont have a strobe to strobe connection like the S&S....
the S&S are 250 pro, but these i use only when i can go by car, much too heavy for flying...

I was allways happy with fiber connections, easy to use, no problems if its to wet / too much moisture in Asia
And no corrosion in the fittings ;-))
For Sonja i was using a DIY holder for her RX100 housing and a Ikelite strobe / Weihkamp trigger combination.

Just found out that Meikon has released a housing for the Sony A7 Mk ii cameras two days befor, so the game is getting more interesting.
This time it looks on the pics like they have a changing port system........
But no other ports by now.
    We will see.

Would be a nice thing to use a great camera in an afordable housing in february, and then upgrade...

    Regards,
    Wolfgang

  6. Woop woop!!!

Now comes the struggle to see if I can afford this before my next trip. The a7rii is I think the trigger to make me leave behind A-mount finally.

  7. Sadness....given up on this for this year. HOWEVER very happy Ike is housing the A7 series, as nothing else interests me for the future. Might be the A7r3 by the time I actually jump, but it would take something pretty surprising out of left field to make me not go from my A-mount to Sony FE mount based on everything I know today. (Not claiming it's the right answer for everyone, just the direction I want to go.)
