I'm planning to go to the Red Sea June/2017 , but i'm not sure which itinerary/live aboard to choose .
This will be my first time there and i'm looking to photograph nice scenics with beautiful hard/soft corals and schooling fishes . A friendly napoleon wrasse and a dugong will be also in my wish list .
Can someone recommend me a live aboard good for photographers and which itinerary is the best for what i'm looking for ?
Hi elbuzo
Like many Brits, I've dived in the Red Sea from liveaboards many times. I can heartily recommend using Emperor Divers and have been on the Emperor Elite (twice) and Emperor Superior - both of which are excellent.
The northern Red Sea, the area around, north and west of Sharm el-Sheikh tends to be much busier than the southern end - e.g. St Johns and the Furys. Emperor also go to the wrecks that are in the north and western side; and to to Elphinstone and the Brothers. All classic Red Sea dive sites. My personal favourites, for soft corals, great underwater topography (swim throughs especially) are in the south around St Johns. Check out Emperor's South and St John's trip. 2-3 of the dives there are in my top 10 worldwide.
