Anyone know this fish?

I am no expert but it looks like a Reef Croaker (Odontoscion dentex) to me. It is in Humann (page 417, in my edition) and here: http://biogeodb.stri...es/species/3796. The black spot at the base of the pectoral fin, the non-forked tail, and possibly the laid down first dorsal are probably the keys to the ID.

Thanks, I think you nailed it. It never occurred to me to look in the Odd Shaped Swimmers Section.
