  2. Hi Laz,

How did you get that first shot? Were you in a seaplane or a helicopter?

Very cool - thanks for posting them. You wouldn't happen to have more, would you?

    Cheers

    James

  3. You got it, James. I was on a seaplane this past weekend on my trip to the fort. It was actually the sister seaplane to the one landing in the photo. Turns out both planes crossed path along the way and the timing was perfect for me to get this shot along with a few of the seaplane flying by.

Of course I have more photos. I'm shooting with a D70 now, remember. I'll be posting them on my web site one of these years along with a small trip report. I also got a couple of aerial wreck photos that turned out half decent. Still learning with this huge contraption while still putting plenty of efilm miles on my trusty Oly5050.

  4. Pretty sweet Laz how you caught the seaplane touching down.....did you use the 70-180 for that?

    Karl

  5. Thanks, Karl. For the fort shot I used the 18-70 lens. Good thing on the plane I had two seats to myself. I opened up my D70 camera bag and was switching lenses like a mad man. It kinda felt like I was diving with my buddy, Fritz, who enjoys spotting one critter that requires macro, then wide-angle, then macro.. You get the point. Shooting photos can be exhausting... but I'm not complaining. :D
