Nauticam buoyancy arms filled with water

4 posts
  1. Hi, I have a problem: I had one 60 x 250mm Nauticam that was not tight and was filled after a dive with water - ok, replaced by dealer. Half a year later I had the exact same problem with the new one.....

Has anybody a similar experience? Was I too deep with 50m? I have the impression that the problem area is the base of the ball...

  2. For safety reasons I intend to additionally seal the basis of the ball (I mean the upper an d lower end of the arm body, where the ball (stick) are attached) with 2 component epoxy glue....what do you mean?

  3. I had one come apart on me while watching mantas at night on the Big Island - needless to say it was full of water before the end of the dive as well as not being able to hold the strobe. Not a good design for a strobe arm since it easily unthreaded. Locktite or something similar to the rescue.

  4. I purchased 8 arms when the carbon arms first came out in early 2015. Two leaked and were replaced.

I have had no further leakage and have not had any separations issues.
