Show verticals full screen in e-m1 LCD

  1. Can the image preview in the LCD on the Olympus E-M1 camera be set so that images taken vertically can be viewed in full screen, not as a thin strip? I have not been able to find whether one can turn off a "rotate tall" or "auto-rotate" feature with the E-M1 camera. If it can be done please tell me how!

  2. Download last PDF manual version --> http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/EM1_VER4_Eng.pdf

    Go to page 88

You will see the menu and option.....

    Camera Menu: Playback Menu

Option: Displaying images rotated --> Set to off (When set to [On], photographs taken with the camera rotated in portrait orientation are automatically rotated and displayed in portrait orientation.)

  3. Thanks Yako, I had not paid much attention to the playback section of the menu. This is just what I want so as to have a better preview of the image for underwater portrait photos to check for sharp focus.
