  2. I know this is a newbie question. But what is TTL? In my various experiences, this acronym means "time-to-live" (networking), and "through-the-lens" (photography). But, from the context, I think everyone here means something else.

  3. TTL does not work with the D30 (at least not on mine). I am afraid you have to set your strobe to manual or get a remote TTL slave sensor, which reads the cameras built in flash.

As to the ISO setting it works basically the same way as the 35mm film, the lower the ISO number, the finer the grain of the film (with digital cameras it's called noise.

    Canon Shooter :)

  4. Eelbait, TTL is the photographic acronym, thru the lens, which is theoretically metering and controlling the exposure at the ccd plane.
