D70 CF Format

Does anybody else have any problems with the D70 formating CF cards.

I have a Sandisk 1.0gb and a Lexar 1gb x4 and neither seem to be affected by the camera's format.

After pressing the 2 buttons I get the "For" displayed in the lcd but after the processs has finished the card does notseem affected at all.

Am I just doing / expecting the wrong thing. After formating I expect a lovely clean card ready to accept the next 200 shots.

You have to press the same buttons twice to format the card. When you see FOR on the top right hand corner of the screen,Press the buttons again, and you will see FOR on the bottom right hand screen. Then the card is formatted.

or just go to the menu to make sure
