  1. Shark Week - Primal Scream

Just caught a commercial for Discovery Channel's Shark Week, starting with this show called "Primal Scream" on tomorrow night (Sun. 7/25 8pm EST) about a veteran uw photographer stranded in the middle of the galapagos and experiencing shark attacks...video cam caught a bunch of it. Looks interesting. Here's a link to the show:

  2. Sorry about the double-post....mods please delete.

  3. Only in the US - Canada's Discovery airs Shark Week later in the summer!!!

    Sigh!!!

  4. It was pretty interesting. The woman definitely has a lot of courage. They interspersed the show with snippets of that new movie coming out, "Open Water" about the couple stranded in the same sort of situation. As a newer diver, the thought of that sends chills up my spine...always feel more comfortable when I'm next to a reef....deep open water just has that sense of how little we really are in the ocean...and how anything can appear from any direction.

They had another show about tiger shark attacks off of hawaii in the 90s and all the political and general chaos it caused.

  5. I didn't think too much of it

did anyone else think this was really bad ? and not from a tv point of view but from an event point of view ?

I may have phrased this seemingly a little patronising .. but i was really disappointed by it .. it didnt seem all that 'life threatening' to me, or did i miss it when a shark came closer than 20ft to her ?

It seemed more like a advertisement for that deep ocean or whatever it's called film.
