Wtb and sell Australia

  1. Does anyone know if there is a forum

In Australia just like this one for selling and buying stuff?

Seems with exchange rate and high postage costs to the land down under many items just don't work out.

Plus some people don't want to send items this way

    Cheers Joe

  2. Exchange rate shouldn't affect you tbh. As for the postage, well everyone suffers from high postage costs. I recently bought some items from the us here and the shipping ended up at 730 usd to Sweden. It's more a matter of finding the right item and price in my opinion. As for import tax and customs fees (27.5% of the item value for items shipped to Sweden outside of the eu) you could tell the seller to mark it as a gift or to value th items much lower than what you actually bought them for.

    Hope this helps

  3. Local is definitely cheaper but the market is smaller. There's a facebook group or two but they seem to be more focussed on dive gear or compact camera setups. Or just not very active.

    Of course there's always Gumtree.

  4. I just shipped a Subal housing to NZ. While not cheap, postage was about $80US, so not that unreasonable when you consider the cost of goods. The availability of world market goods vs. local probably offsets some of that cost.

    Good luck!

  5. Post an add on gumtree expressing what you want to buy. This is what i did and i ended up with a complete nauticam canon 7D system with strobes, focus light, 45 degree viewfinder, lenses etc and all for a good price.......

  6. What did the british pay for Australia…;)

  7. Cheers for the reply's

i have tried gumtree Australia and it is ok but not much on there and takes along time to sell

i did sell a full d200 hugyfot setup on eBay only got $750 AUD for it with the camera and spares

i have posted wanted adds but without any luck.

Yeah shipping from the U.S only seems to be worth it on higher priced items.

also a lot of people don't actually want to send it this way.

and Australia was free the British just took it

but its only cause the Spanish didn't want it

    Cheers Joe
