Hi all,
I came across these lights:

Any feedback on this brand and maybe on this product?
I see they are 6500K. Maybe a bit too bluish...
Thank you in advance

I don't use video lights, but have a couple of their general-purpose lights. They are built like tanks, very well made, highly durable, and reliable.
I have an older model focus light that came with my (used) Nauticam housing. The thing is humongous! It's like a small torpedo, 3 LEDs and takes EIGHT (8) double A batteries. It's built from aluminum so is a bit heavy but 100% bulletproof.
My Sola 1200 is less than half the size, half the weight and much brighter.
I am tempted to buy some rechargeable AA batteries (like an 8 pack of eneloops) and just see how the bigblue fares as a focus light.
At the risk of hijacking Davide's thread . . . honestly I would not bother with an older 8 AA model for a focus light. I got a similar light long ago, also huge and heavy. Then I replaced it with one of these from Big Blue that uses only 3 AAA and weighs nothing but puts out higher quality light even if rated the same output. The LEDs are so much better now, and cheaper. Big Blue also has a few models that can be focused from wide angle to narrow spot.

Now I use a model from iTorch that also has genuine red light, like Sola, and like it so much better. The ability to power down to lower intensity is really useful, especially at night.
Anyway, there's a separate thread for focus lights so perhaps we should move over there:

Anyway,
Nobody have their video lights?
Thanks
Nothing wrong with them from what I've seen. Only limitation is that it uses cree less, which don't have a very high cri -- 70 or 80 at best.
I live in Shenzhen now and I've recently been in contact with a local manufacturer that is now producing 8000 lumen 95cri video lights that, from what I can tell, use the same leds used in the gates gt14 lights. I haven't been able to get my hands on a unit yet, but hope to do so soon to test them out. Should be able to get them for under $500 a piece
Wow, keep me informed.
Problem is bringing them in Europe.
I have a pair of bigblue 2600 lumen lights that I use for macro video and night diving. They are very well built and are quite affordable. Burn times are as advertised but there appears to be a considerable drop off in output at the midpoint. They came with a yellow CTO filter which is helpful for night dives.
Hi David,
I used the bigblue 5000 lumens model which is replaced by the 6000 lumens model: http://www.bigbluedivelights.com/products-detail.asp?Product=339. I really felt the 5000 lumens was more than enough for me and I was shooting at mid level al the time.
I used two of them my my Sony FS7 housing with the yellow filter on ( i thought it made the lighte warmer). My white balance was prefixed at 5500k hence I was shooting Slog3 Cine mode. I believe a got decent colors rendering from them and definitely made my color correction workflow with davinci resolve much smother and more straight forward. I hope this helps.
Here is a link of th video I've shot with the lights:

Thani
here is the topic of a video clip that shows the color rendering of the lights above:
Thank Thani et al.
In the end my dive buddy opted for a pair of Keldan 4X 6000lm. A Swiss shop had two of them as surplus at 1000€ each. A real bargain. Grabbed!
