sea and sea strobes

there are alot of discussions on ikelite, and inon strobes here. any thoughts or opinions on sea and sea dx 90s for a housed d70?

I traded in a couple of Sea & Sea YS-90DX's for Inon Z-220's. The Z-220 is brighter, have a wider more uniform beam and smaller. I don't have first hand experience with the Ikelite. You can find lots of opinions and even some test results with a quick search on these boards.

i'm converting from a nexus/n90 to a d70, which i just got , and am thinking of sticking with that brand. I've used that housing and the same sea and sea stobes, ys 300, and 120s, for 7 wonderful years. As sad as it is to part with an old friend, its time.

I am going to use my ys120 with my new ikelite housing and I imagine it will work just fine. I am also using a d70,

Yes. Ike has a new sync cord that connects his housings to Nikons compatible strobes connectors, which the Inon Z-220 has. Search on this board or his website for the part.

I would echo Herbko, The Inon's offer far greater coverage angle than the Sea & Sea with some extra features bedsides!
