  1. D100 Ikelite

Any comments on the Ikelite molded D100 housing? I have my lens and camera but just can't bring my self to but a Subal or a Titan. I have a Light and Motion 5000 Tetra but hate the shutter lag. I shoot more video than still but I would shoot more still without the shutter lag. Seems like the best option to buy the Ikelite D100.

  2. Hi John, welcome to Wetpixel :D

I don't have the D100, but I have D70's with Ikelite housings. I've had 2 ikelite housings before, so I'm sold on their quality, value and customer service.

With dual DS-125's, my setup is barely negative and very easy to handle underwater....one handed shots are no problem

I had severe aluminum envy when I was deciding on our housings....now that I've got the Ikelite and used it underwater, I'm very happy with my choice

  3. I have a D100 in an Ikelite housing with a 10,5 mm lens and 5503.15 port. It is an excelent choice, it is light weight and slightly negative. I use it a lot while free diving. It is easy to move through the water, unlike my larger metal housings. The price and weight were my deciding factors.

  4. Seems to be a good value for the dollar. I love my Light and motion video housing aut I think I will go with Ikelite on this one. I already have a 12-24 dx. 28-70 afs and a 60 macro.

    Thanks for the reply
