One thing the Scuba community is missing is a good chat platform. This serves a different purpose than that of the forum, allowing people to discuss scuba diving in real time, and will hopefully create a small organic community of those that enjoy chatting to each other in real time. I'll try bridging the gap between the various communities (e.g. facebook, forums etc.).
Discord is a rich text, voice and video chat application, heavily used across teams and members of various communities. I've set up a Discord server called 'Scuba Diving' - where the aim is to initially start small and grow it as hopefully, more members get interested.
You can use Discord through the web, desktop client, or mobile app.
