  1. Double Macro

After recently acquiring a second macro lens for my 5050 (thanks, Ryan!), I stacked them up together and spent 2½ hours on one dive practicing. All I can say is -- I love it!

This Leech Headshield slug was about ¾ of an inch in length. This is a full frame shot with no cropping. Considering the double-stacked macro lenses, I still think the 5050 has some amazing depth of field.

Special thanks to Linda for pointing out this beautiful creature.

This very generous 2½-inch Flounder allowed me to approach it for this full-frame shot.

More pictures and a story to be posted soon on my web site.

  2. Great shots!!!!!! Makes me wonder if lugging around a DSLR is really worth it ...... Linda

  3. Laz,

I agree, these are some great shots. I just shot super-macro this weekend and found it very rewarding.

Can you do me a favor and post some 100% crops from the corners? Since writing my CA article, I'm curious to see how this macro setup performs. If it has CA, can it be corrected, etc.

    Cheers

    James
