  1. Oly PT-023 and Sea&Sea YS-90 strobe velcro shema?

    Hi,

just got my new Oly c-8080 and PT-023 but one thing I am missing. I have a Sea&Sea YS-90Auto strobe with fibre optic sync cable, and now I need some advice.

Has anyone got the layout for the velcro pad to be installed on the front of the flash in PT-023?

Any hints and pics of your own layouts are helpful, so I dont have to cut out too many pads for nothing...

    Thanks,

  2. Nico,

Sorry i have no idea about the pads, but would like to have your impression about the camera and the housing. Are the what you expected and would you buy this set again? Any indication is very well come as i am in the process of purchasing my next toy. That is if the wife lets me.

    Thanks

    Khaled

  3. Hi Khaled,

As soon as I get enough time to get in the water with the set, I will do a review of the whole package. First impression is excellent...

  4. don't you just put the velcro over the internal flash with the hole in the middle ?

  5. Yep, that is the idea, but... it seems that however I try to put the velcro on, it somehow lets too much light out from the internal strobe...

Anyway, this problem is solved with a TTL converter, I cannot imagine anyone (besides me) using the fibre optic cable with Oly housings.. :-)

Got the camera under water last weekend here in Finland, and it seems allright. Quite easy to handle all menus. The 8080 has more quick buttons on the camera that helps changing the settings.

Still working on full review, I need some more UW time for the package. Ill see if I have tome to put out few first shots on my site this week for comments.
