I am going on my first trip using the Nauticam flash trigger with my OMD-EM1 MKII and dual Retra strobes. I have test the flash trigger with the strobes and all works well. I would like some info for anyone who has used the flash trigger. If I turn it on before my first dive, is it safe to leave it on for the remainder of the trip (7 days). I am concerned that I will forget to turn it on before a dive and have no way to turn it on underwater.

I turn mine off at the end of each dive day. I then do a strobe test in the morning of the next days dives. I also carry the Olympus strobe supplied with the camera as a backup. I have used the Nauticam flash trigger with several different camera brands and have never had a problem. Battery life is quite good but I always carry extra batteries.

Thanks, Phil. I have extra batteries and the camera flash. I will follow your procedure on the trip.
