Pulled this off the FM website earlier today.

Odds are that's a D2H...

The H in the D2H name is in an outline, slightly slanted font that makes it look like an X from some angles. There was a rash of hyperexcited people on DPReview a year or so ago when someone posted shots of a D2H on the new 200-400AFS, and lots of people thought it was a D2X.

<Edit> I've just noticed the different coloUr of the trim under the handle, but let's face it, that's an easy photoshop job, I remain sceptical at this time </edit>

Here a link to the website that had the picture. The image of the D2x has since been pulled. Unfortunately I don't read Finnish. Several people at FM felt it's was a real leak.

Ah, that's the origin of "rabid discussion of a multiresolution 13/8 MPixel 5/7 FPS uberbeast" discussion. Perhaps it has a touch more veracity then, as interfoto is allegedly a major finnish camera wholesaler/retailer.

If true it would be interesting to see who's sensor they are using. It's a big leap from the 4MP D2H sensor to rumored spec.

12.3 Mpixels not 12.2 or 12.4 is rather precise for a guess.

Maybe it's an educated guess?

BTW, the DPReview forum post (1st one) does not seem to use same numbers/features as the Finnish site (unless it has changed since the forum post). So different rumors are emerging from various sources/guesses?
