GH5 with SmallHD DP4 monitor

Hi all,

I've got offered for a good price for an "old" SmallHD DP4 monitor with Nauticam housing. Plan to use them with my GH5 also in Nauticam housing.

I've owned the 45 deg Nauticam viewfinder for the housing already, do you think the extra monitor worth it? I shoot both WA and macro BTW, with and without video lights.

Any inputs are appreciated in advance.

The GH5 LCD screen is 1620K dots which is 900x600 on a 3:2 form factor or 3" on 16:9

The DP4 is 840x480 on a 16:9

In video mode the GH5 is around 900x540

So you are not going to gain anything on resolution but it will be 43% larger. In terms of brightness the DP4 is 350 nits which is not very bright however am unsure what the native LCD is

When it comes to the viewfinder the resolution is approx 1356x905 I am not used to shoot with viewfinders but if you are happy with it the resolution is superior to anything else an I suppose it works well in bright light
