  1. 300D Focus lock with Russiona Hack

Now, if someone was to install the Russion hack. Note I said if. How do you get the focus lock option. If you read the 10D manual it shows utilization of buttons on the top of the camera. Buttons that are not on the 300D. Which button becomes the button to utilize to switch from AI Servo to single focus lock?

If a person was to download the firmware of course.

  2. Unless a new hack has come out since June 16 that I dont know about, there is no AI Servo mode.

  3. Did you figure out how to REMOVE the hack yet, Todd? :)

  4. To remove the hack all you have to do is download the official Firmware from canon's website, put it on your CF card and put the card in the camera.

  5. The hack, in theory :) , allows selection of One-shot, AI focus, and AI Servo, via the left pointing button. The AI focus mode does not work; it'll focus but won't shoot. The One-shot focus mode is potentially useful.

Left pointing button. Sorry Herb I think I am having a slow day or should have the camera in front of me. Is that the left button of the four that you use to navigate the menus etc?
