I like the lower picture a lot. The diagonal of chromis makes a strong composition and adds depth to the image. You might want to use the burn tool in Photoshop to slightly darken up the ones closest to the strobe.

This image looks very suitable for magazine editorial, with lots of space for text.

No 2 - very nice. I aggree with what Alex said and I would add a couple of points of my own:

You should try to get seperation between your diver/model and the reef. If the diver in your shot was a little to the left so that he wasn't partially obscured by the brain coral it would be perfect.

The damsels on the right being cutoff is distracting.

I would have shot the background about -1 stop to get a deeper blue.
