Coral Bleaching

I thought this would be a good forum to start! As divers, I think it's important to be aware of how the marine environment is shifting and changing due to human impacts. Post here if you have recently been on a trip and seen coral bleaching. Be sure to answer where you were, what time of year, and how extensive the bleaching is.

Mo'orea, French Polynesia

Bleaching first seen on the forereef in March of 2019 and has lasted to the present (as of May 16).

Roughly >80% of corals affected.
