  1. displaying RAW images in photoshop CS file browser

ok guys - one for the photoshop guru's amongst you:

installed the RAW 2.2 plug-in from adobe to give CS support for my nikon D70 .NEF files. now the file browser displays some thumbnails but not all (as per bad piccy) metadata for all works fine.

any idea's why it shows some thumbs and not others?

    regards, paul.

  2. Not a clue. Mine woks fine ... always.

I couldn't find any thing here either though you can ask support for help.

A related problem with SP2. Did you install SP2?

If you click on them do they open?

Are all from the same batch of pics?

Did you move some from one folder to another?

Also try google foe ideas e.g. "adobe nef files don't display" etc.

  3. thanks for the reply peter.

i think the problem is only isolated to some images i took before installing the raw 2.2 plugin or updated to sp2 - maybe the images that will not display thumbs are images that i had changed settings on etc. - im only speculating as i cant remember which i've changed and which i haven't.

the main thing is that all images i have taken since installing the updated plugin seen to display properly.

    regards, paul.

  4. Try this...

Go into the file browser in CS, and under the menu options find FILE>PURGE CACHE.

That should force a rebuild of all the thumbnails, and correct your problem.

  5. thx rich, worked a treat :(
