  1. iTTL with D70

    I'm new to underwater housings for DSLR's, does anyone know if the iTTL feature an be used with a D70 in any underwater housing? Are there any U/W flashes that will work TTL with the D70? Any info is appreciated.

  2. Ikelite is working on an iTTL solution for their D70 housing but there is no guarantee that they will make one available.

    However, if they do eventually offer iTTL for the D70 I expect that;

    1. Upgrades to existing housings will be offered as in the case of eTTL for the Rebel.

    2. The offering will only support DS 50 and DS 125 strobes or maybe only DS 125s.

    3. I will do everything in my power to be first in line for an upgrade as I just loved the Ikelite TTL for the 5050.

    hate to tell you but I'm already in line at Ike's office in Indianapolis with my housing waiting for iTTL upgrade.. :())

  4. Another option to gain iTTL is to house a Nikon SB800 speedlight. I am aware of two vendors who offer housings for the SB800. Sealux and SUBAL. The image below shows a Nikon SB800 housed in my Sealux CX800 flanked by two Inon D180 strobes which are optical slaves and require an optical converter. The SB800 can either be used standalone in iTTL mode or in combination with the Inon strobes with the SB800 set to Auto or Manual.
