Looking for smaller on-the-ground conservation groups to donate to or raise money for. Anyone have suggestions?

Ocean Quest Global is a grass roots organisation rehabilitating coral reefs organically around SE Asia. Training local people in coral Propogation and management. Maya Bay in Phi Phi, Thailand is one latest example, where the area has now been closed to tourism indefinitely and thousands of corals been planted where they were previously destroyed. Highly recommended.

I realize this is an old topic, but the non-profit Conservation Diver is amazing. They conduct research and education throughout many countries with local centers set up in each one.

Oceánidas, a Spanish NGO with its international project "Red de Vigilantes Marinos" that carries out cleaning of seabed and beach with volunteers. It is present in Spain, Cape Verde, Brazil, Peru and Colombia.

I have donated and have helped the LA Waterkeepers (https://www.lawaterkeeper.org/) and Channelkeepers (https://www.sbck.org/)  in California they are both part of the Waterkeeper Alliance (https://waterkeeper.org/) which has other chapters and offer volunteer opportunities
