  1. Opinions?: Tamron XR Di or Sigma 28-300 for Dig Rebel

    Just looking to get a decent TOPSIDE lens for general use, but there are few opinions on the Tamron XR Di, and some that I've read saying the Sigma is cheaper ($100 less +/-)and has better optics (and metal lens mount).

     

    Just looking for any points of comparison, and my expectations are in line with the price range the lenses fall in.

  2. I have the 28-300 and find it a nice flxible "travel lens"

     

    Its cheap too approx $250.
