Sony 12-24mm with Nauticam 8.5" Acrylic Domeport?

Hi there,

does anybody have expierience with the Nauticam N120 8.5" Acrylic Domeport (#18802) on a Sony A7 housing with the FE 12-24mm lens? I wonder if there's any vignetting?

The recommended port is the 230mm and that would be based upon getting decent corners at the 12mm end - you would need to work out your own extension as they don't list it as an option - looking at other systems they use the same extension for the 8.5" acrylic port as the 230mm glass dome port. so that would indicate using the same extension as recommended for the 230mm dome in the port chart here:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IUWtZfFMXYF1OElfWzRVOqPKL9p3P4SH/view

If you use the right extension vignetting should not be a problem, the concern would be corner performance with the very wide angle of view at 12mm.

thanks for answering. I know the port chart, but the 230mm glass port is very heavy. So I'm looking for an alternative, would be great if somebody could tell about corner sharpness etc. with this setup.
