  1. Sangalaki and Lembeh

I managed to go through the pictures of a trip from sept. 15 to oct. 4 in Sangalaki and 4 days in Lembeh.

Sangalaki, located on the east coast of Borneo, Indonesia, is an excellent place to see manta rays all year round. We had more than a hundred (low estimate) most days.

Lembeh was just an attempt for me to add some macro shots to the collection and taking advantage of the maximum allowed time I could get away from work. That was awfully short but still, always interesting.

You can find some pics online at http://www.bearaway.org/blog/

  2. The young OGPF is very pretty, and works very well on the black background. The Rhinopias also looks great on the black sand background. Most of the pictures I have seen of this fellow (and I am assuming that it is the one that has been in Lembeh all year) he has been on algae covered backgrounds making hard to pick out the details of this gorgeous fish. Very nice.
