  1. N80 in Nexus D100 housing

just for thought, i have a nexus d100 housing and since that camera and the n80 are essentially the same thing (d100 is a little taller), would it be possible to put a n80 in this housing. i figure if all the buttons line up i could just build and adaptor to raise the n80 the couple of cm's needed. i am not sure if all the buttons line up though because my housing is at home and i'm at college.

  2. Quantim0,

there is a brazilian guy that make it with Aquatica's D100 housing and F80. Following the link to view more information: http://www.pbase.com/mandrade/f80adapter

  3. Is he selling these?

  4. Kasey,

I don't know about, but you can email him to ask for help or to try to buy this stuff.

  5. Kasey, thanks for your interesting in my F80 adapter. I sell but I need a Nexus housing for custom it because the system tray of Nexus is different than Aquatica. I think it is not viable to send your housing to Brazil :D . By the way if you read the instructions in my page you can make easily with a specialist in your country.

    Regards

  6. Actually, I have an Aquatica housing. How much do you charge for these? How long would it take you to build one?

    thx

  7. cool guys. i know some people with a machine shop so hopefully i can get them to make me a piece out of aluminum. hopefully the focus area selector can operate somehow. i know i use it a lot and i wouldn't like to loose it.

but i guess the loss of that isn't worth spending another 3k for a housing.

  8. Kasey, sorry but I don't have how to charge it. But it´s very simple to make a F80 adapter. It´s a block with this dimension 17mm,111mm,52mm. The biggest problem is the divergence between tripod socket of F80 and D100. The tripod socket center of F80 is 3mm back and right comparing to D100's.
