Some shots from this weekend on Molasses Reef and Snapper Ledges... (Key Largo/Tavernier, FL)

For some unknown reasons, all the Coneys on Molasses were in this same color pattern. Wonder what's going on?

That's a huge coconut! Special thanks to Barbara and Capt. Bob at DiverCityUSA for a great 3-tank dive day.

I was trying to get a nice sun flare shot and these darn fish just had to get in the way!

I was helping my dive buddy do a science fair project for her son measuring color differences at depth (she painted the back of these signs with different colors). I couldn't help myself, though. I saw a free swimming moray eel coming at me so I dropped the sign in the sand and funny enough.. the eel stopped for a split second, looked at the sign and kept going.. The eel must have been saying, "Geez!! This is getting worse than Miami Beach!"

Painted Elysia... A new find for me.. Yeepee!! Shot with triple stacked macro lenses.

I'm not sure why they call this Snapper Ledges instead of Grunt & Goatfish Ledges.. There's gotta be over 1,000 fish schooling together on this one reef alone. I also saw my first Bonnethead shark (no picture -- bummer).. What a neat (and fast) little shark that is!?!?! Now I definitely gotta do a lot more kayaking in the flats out in the Keys where they are more abundant.

Diving in the Keys can get sooo crowded sometimes! Sheeeesshh!
