  1. Maximum Card Size for Canon D60

So far i only worked with 1GB MD with my D60

II now wnat to buy a new Card or MD and don't know what the maximum size is, that is supported by the Camera without "Formating Tricks"

I Know that th 4GB is not Supported but is the 2GB supported?

I don't want to buy an 2GB card where i only can use 1GB.

    Simon

  2. Hi Simon,

if the D60 supports FAT32 (which I doubt) you can go everywhere. If it supports only FAT16 2.2GB is the limit.

    Here are some specs: http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm

My guess is: 2GB will work; 4GB and above not

  3. I've got a 2Gb Sandisk CF that primarily lives in my 1dMkII but does work in my D60 as well.

  4. thanks a lot, so i will order a 2GB Card or MD ... will have a look at the prices

  5. I'd get a CF card, the prices have dropped way down. I got mine probably 2 months ago for about $185 (slow Sandisk). You can get the 2Gb highspeed cards for comparable prices now, or get the slower cards for much less.

    Just my $0.02
