1 day in LA to buy Ikelite housing /strobe for Olympus

Hi Guys,

I will be in LA on the 13th November and would like to buy a ikelite housing and strobe package for an Olympus digital camera. So far I have been in contact with www.backscatter.com who have said that they will send the package to my hotel in LA. I am just in LA for 12 hours and will probably stay at Holiday Inn or something similar.

Backscatter.com have been extremely helpful but I am obviously concerned about getting $1500 ish worth of gear sent to a hotel room when I am in the country for one day.

So can anyone recommend either a shop in LA, hopefully reasonably close to LAX or alternately had experience with backscatter.com or having stuff sent to a hotel room.

Thanks

I had approx $1000 worth of camera equipment sent to a hotel in Miami with no problem. I purchased from J&R Electronics.

Call the hotel beforehand to inform them the package will be arriving and ask for it to be put in the hotel safe until you arrive.

Where in LA are you going to be? LA is a big place but if you want you can ship to my office and come pick it up.

ABSea photo is within walking distance of LAX. Check their web site and then give Alan a call. If you call him in advance I would bet he will get what you need. The shop is set up so you can pick up gear on a lay over at LAX.
