  1. Where did all the slr/n 's go?

James and Craig - we haven't hear anything from you regarding your new cameras! I've been anxiously awaiting an assessment of the kodak underwater. What is the verdict?

  2. Are they actually housed yet? I thought there was only one Aquatica prototype out there...

  3. Hi Kasey,

The photos of the housing are up in the DEMA review. I elected to let Aquatica take mine back in order to reposition the viewfinder in order to get a bigger/better look through there. I took about 2500 photos offshore this summer (topside) and I have already sold a bunch of them. The 16x20 Pictopia prints are stunning.

Craig has some WROCKING great white photos taken w/ the SLRn but they aren't online yet.

    Cheers

    James

    Don't have any macro yet.

It's taken a while, but I think I've "mastered" the camera and can now get the shots I want and I'm VERY happy with them. Prints (Which are the real reason to buy a high megapixel camera) are excellent.

Now that the D2x is announced, the Kodak has some competition, but Nikon has their work cut out for them if that want to make a camera as sharp (no AA filter on the Kodak) and lower noise (12 megapixels on a DX sensor will be tough for Nikon) as the Kodak. Man, my english sux, but you get the point. Of course the Nikon has the pro build and fast framerate, but for underwater shooting, the Kodak will be hard to beat.

    Cheers

    James

  6. Mauricio,

Can you confirm which camera you were using? Was it the 14n, 14nx, or ProSLRn?

    Cheers

    James
