You no longer have to do that. The slightly smaller 4GB Hitachi has been on sale for awhile now for $165 after rebate.

Yeah, I have one of those. To be correct, it's actually $214.99 with a $50 mail in rebate. I hate those mail in rebates. You send them your UPC symbol and they send you back a post card saying they never got it...then you are screwed as they won't accept a copy. Just my experience...
