  1. Thinking about a trip in August/September to French Polynesia. Curious what people have used to shoot.

Going to dive Rangiroa and Fakarava North/South. Also go to Rurutu to snorkel with humpbacks.

Thinking of bringing a couple of lens to cut down on weight.

Tokina 10-17 fisheye w/option of Kenko Teleplus HD Pro for humpbacks

Sigma 17-70 for a little more reach with sharks

    Tamron 18-270 for topside

Any thoughts? Use a Canon 80D and Ikelite DS160 strobes.

Gonna just use ambient for humpbacks as guess there is a lot of swimming.

Just did Rescue Diver to be CMAS 2.

  2. I wouldn't use the Kenko Teleplus with the 10-17 for humpbacks. Use just the 10-17. I would say 17-70 is too long for sharks unless you want a head-on shot. The water will be clear; get as close as possible and shoot wideish. I would be happy in FP with only the 10-17 underwater. Good for over/under too.

  3. Thank you
