  1. Flash Card

It is time to buy a new card for my D100. My 4 year old micro drive is showing some signs of wear. I would be intrested in comments on brands and speed in the one gig size or bigger? A good value but fast.

  2. Hi John,

I'm a SanDisk 1Giga UltraII happy user. This card presented a good performance bought with the others that I tested. It was more fast then lexmark 80x 1Giga...

    I like it.

Can you elaborate? What are these signs?

  5. i use a Hitachi 2G microdrive so what are signs that it is going down the tubes? i also use the Lexar 1G 80X cards are they are really nice. the write speed is pretty much instant.

  6. I have been getting random frames that are missing peices of the shot. This area shows up as pixels. The area is various shades of blue pixels. My wife shot 1500 pictures of the swim team and it is random when it shows up. Only one frame and each side the the bad frame are perfect. That is why I think it is the Micro Drive. IBM at least 4years old. This drive has been all over the world and has been bounced and banged arround. I had a trip in Coasta Rica a few years ago and the water was so rough that I was glad to see the lens still on the camera . I was very impressed by the durabality of the micro drive.

  7. Hello John,

as far as I know, the new Sandisk Extreme III will be available very soon.

This will be much faster than the Ultra II. (1 GB approx. 140 Euro)
