Hugyfot are one of the greats. They have always designed original housings with superb ergonomics. I have always wanted a Hugy housing - and when I have some spare cash - which will be never - I'll buy a second hand hugy film housing.
The current drawback with Hugy is that their founder and designer of all their housings - Rene Hugenschmidt - has retired and the company is under new management. The new management are dedicated to maintain the traditions of Hugy, and I guess we are all waiting to see if that is the case. If they do then I think a Hugy D70 would be lovely...
I saw their 300D housing at the Birmingham diveshow and it looked nice. I didn't handle it - so no further comments. I have not seen or heard anything about the D70 yet.

I have used a Hugyfot Atlan 81 for the Nikon F80 for three years now and I can only echo Alex's comments. It is a lovely, well built housing with mostly good ergonomics. There are some issues that could be executed be better for my type of diving but then again, there is no such thing as a perfect housing for every use.
The nice thing with Hugyfot for me was that they had a very wide array of ports available and Rene even produced me a custom dome port for the same price as a similar stock item. The domes are plastic and the flats are glass, both using aluminium barrels. The focus rings are press-on type and quite frankly sometimes not very easy to get aligned properly.
During the past three years I always received very good service from Rene (although we had a serious language barrier between us!!), and during my recent discussions with the "new" hugyfot my experiences have been very positive. The Leica/Panasonic housing that they have in their website looks pretty much like my current housing in style and execution. Therefore I would expect them to be following the same design principles as Rene.
The company behind the "new" Hugy is the same one producing green force dive lights which are generally regarded as very good value.
As discussed in another thread, I am still wondering whether to change housing brand and if Hugy indeed comes out with a D70 housing that might very well be the decisive factor for me to stay with Hugy.
