The lens extends by about 50% of it's length as it focuses towards 1:1 (about 55mm extension)  which means the port needs to accommodate that.  It also means wet lenses are a little impractical only having the correct spacing when very close to 1:1, ven so the working distance is reported to be about 70mm, so at 1:1 it would be around 60mm from the port which is probably manageable.   However the 60mm or working distance doesn't leave much scope to add a wet diopter as your working distance is already so small.

I note the Nauticam Sony charts don't mention the 70mm though it is listed on the Canon and Nikon charts.  You would need to find out the correct port extensions to use to get a good fitting port for it.

  3. I have used the lens above water and I would not recommend it for U/W work at all as Chris has said the extension to to long and you will dot be finding many ports that will work for the macro end of the lens. I also found it slower to focus than most macro lenses I have used.
