Inon S-2000 Magnet - Do i need it with my set up ?

Looking for a bit of advise because , Yes, of course i've lost the magnet & screw which goes with my Inon S-2000 .

I have a canon r6 which doesn't have a built in flash . I have a flash trigger & set the Inon strobe to manual - Do i still need the magnet ?

If the flash trigger is manual-only, then you will need the magnet. If the flash trigger supports TTL, then you can set it to TTL mode so that it emits a pre-flash and shoot the S-2000 in manual mode, as it will ignore the pre-flash.
