Rx100 and flip adaptor

I have seen a few forum members that have or have had the NARX100VII.  

If anyone of you is reading this - do any of you have any experience of using the Nauticam flip adaptor for the standard (square) port along with a close up lens?

Im wondering if it is feasible to do this... And also the zoom range that this would work effectively in.  

I'd be grateful for any insight.

this provides field of view with the Nauticam close up lenses and also zoom ranges with the short port and the wet wide lens.

So.. if I'm reading that correctly, with the flip adaptor you must use the SMC rather than CMC close up lenses?

I don't know if must is the right word - the SMC-1 is a slightly less powerful lens than CMC-1 and the SMC-1 achieves just under life size with a field of 14 x 9.3 mm and the working range is very narrow.  Which means you could only shoot subjects around that size range, which could be limiting.  The CMC-1 would probably have very limited working distance.  The short ports give  a little more flexibility with larger subject sizes for these lenses. 

You could also use a less powerful diopter on the flip mount which may offer more flexibility and ease of use.  The SMC-1 is probably around a +10 to +12 power diopter from memory, so you could look into diopters in the +5 range on the flip mount as well.   You could also look at the INON closeup lenses in similar powers.  The UCL -90 is about a +11 and the UCL-165 is around +5.
