What is the difference between a type 1 and type 2 version of this strobe? it looks like you are using Fiber Optics to trigger the strobes, is that correct? If so, I dont understand where the fiber optic cord would plug into this strobe.

the fiber optic connection is on the bottom just in front of the ball mount.  Z-330 type 2 has the "bug eye" diffuser pattern on the front lens and otherwise is very similar to Type 1.
